Thrive: A Wellness Program for Clients and Companies

The Thrive Program consists of three presentations about how to eat, move and think to support a healthy lifestyle. These presentations are designed to address ways to decrease stress and improve the quality of your life. Unless you change the underlying stresses and behaviors that create illness then the illness will not heal and your body will fail to thrive. Please participate in these pivotal discussions and learn to empower yourselves with knowledge to create a new course path whose destination is a life full of endless potential. Start your journey towards making your life a Masterpiece.

The Thrive Program for Clients of Northwest Family Chiropractic and Guests:

For current clients and their guest, the Thrive Program will occur on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm. A sign-up sheet is available at the front desk in order for you to reserve a seat for yourself and any guests you feel would benefit. This evening is catered by Organics To Go who supply local, organic, socially conscious, gluten free food!

The Thrive Program for Companies and Businesses:

Companies who educate their staff about wellness and lifestyle topics enjoy better productivity, less absenteeism and more profit. Knowing this, I am very happy to work with companies and businesses to bring Thrive to you. I will host a healthy organic, gluten free lunch provided by local, socially conscious restaurants and caterers so that energy and participation are high.

The Thrive Curriculum

Eat:

Increase your knowledge about the importance of quality food and complete nutrition. Learn what to buy, how to eat and what to avoid so that you can decrease chemical stress, improve healing and maximize repair.

Move:

Learn how to move, and control your body to meet the growing demands of a stressful world. Here we will empower you to set new standards for your own level of fitness as well as motivate you to exercise in the most efficient and effective ways possible. It’s time to get moving.

Think:

What you think about comes about, so in this presentation you will learn how to forgive the past and use your thinking and intention to improve your state of well-being. Change your thoughts and the body will follow. Think your way to a better state of health.

It is our mission at Northwest Family Chiropractic to improve and empower our Seattle communities through knowledge. No one is coming to reclaim your health for you; no drug or surgery is going to help heal you; no one is coming to exercise for you; no one is coming to erase your past and direct your future: you have to do it. However, the strategies, solutions and support are available in our Thrive Program. Please come and start your journey towards a better life today.

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
What's a side effect?
It may sound like a bonus; something extra, but chiropractors know it should more accurately called an "unintended effect," and "unwanted effect" or in some cases an "adverse effect." A pill can't come close to matching your body's ability to create and deliver the essential compounds it needs. That's when it's important to make sure your nervous system is working correctly—the purpose of chiropractic care!
