NW Family Chiropractic Now Offers Spinal Decompression Therapy
What is Spinal Decompression Therapy?
Spinal decompression is the most advanced technology available to doctors for non-surgical treatment of many disc conditions. Millions of people seek relief for bulging, herniated, degenerative or ruptured disks, as well as relief for sciatica, posterior facet syndrome, stenosis, chronic neck and back pain, and failed back surgery cases.
How does Spinal Decompression work?
Spinal Decompression Therapy is a relatively new non-surgical treatment for most spinal disc problems. Spinal decompression may produce a vacuum in the disc that reduces the painful pressure on the nerves. The results are an increase of blood flow, reduced pain, increased mobility and tissue repair. It is the only non-surgical treatment currently available that is able to sufficiently relieve pressure on the disc. By reducing pressure from the disc the body has an opportunity to heal itself, naturally. It is, by far, the least risky of the alternative types of treatment for disc injuries. Spinal decompression therapy is administered using a machine that gently stretches the spine and decompresses the discs. Most patients report that the decompression session is comfortable and they often report relief after the first session.
Who would benefit from Spinal Decompression?
People who are suffering from symptoms associated with a herniated disc or a "disc bulge", sciatica type symptoms, chronic lower back pain due to advanced degenerative or arthritic changes to the spine.
